Red Bull Racing Honda team unveil 2019 challenger the RB15

Car for Max Verstappen and Pierre Gasly is launched on track at Silverstone.

The Aston Martin Red Bull Racing team have taken the wraps off the car with which the team hopes to challenge for the Formula 1 driver and constructors’ crowns in 2019.

The RB15, revealed in a one-off livery, marks the start of a new era with the Honda power unit and a new-look driver pairing behind the wheel. Here is all you need to know:

– Max Verstappen, who had the honours of driving the new car for the first time, once again races for Aston Martin Red Bull Racing but will be joined in the other half of the garage by Frenchman Pierre Gasly, who replaces Daniel Ricciardo for the coming season.

– The covers were taken off the RB15 for the first time at an official filming day at Silverstone, home of the British Grand Prix.

– The Dutchman finished last season in fourth place with Ricciardo sixth, while the team ended up in third place in the 2018 constructors’ championship.

– Verstappen, 21, said: “The car looks really cool. The livery is very beautiful, even though it is just a one-off. When we go to Barcelona, then we can start testing on the car and see what we can get out of it. Try to understand the engine more as well. It is very important to have a day like this before you go to the official test days. You see if there are a few little issues with the car or the engine, but luckily we didn’t have them.”
